The Parish Resource Center conducts a variety of seminars and workshops that are designed to inspire, educate, and equip congregational leaders and teachers.
The subjects emerge from our understanding of the priorities, challenges, and trends in subscribing congregations. We enlist the best leaders available to share their insights and to inspire participants. After seminar and workshop leaders depart, our consultants help subscribers adapt and implement the ideas presented and maintain the energy generated.

Free Series Virtual Roundtables For Sunday School Teachers and Administrators
The Parish Resource Centers of Long Island located in Rocky Point and Valley Stream will be working together to provide virtual roundtables on a variety of topics. Participants may join the discussion via online meeting or telephone.

Ideas for Sunday School Teachers and Administrators to share as they teach on Ash Wednesday, the Lenten Season, and Holy Week. This webinar will be led by PRC Staff Members Karla McKenzie and Debbie Kolacki.
February 2nd at 7pm - The Challenges Of Choosing Curriculum (Register)
This webinar will be led by Consultant, Debbie Kolacki and will address steps in evaluating and choosing curriculum for Sunday School and Children's Ministry.
March 1st at 7pm - Planning For Vacation Bible School (Register)

Leading Change and Living to Tell the Story

January 24st at 1pm - Using WordPress To Build A Church Website by Rev. Gary Brinn (Register)
People looking for a church today will most likely turn to the internet. This makes a church website an essential tool for ministry. This webinar will cover the basics of starting a church website: how to get a domain name, how to use WordPress free software to design a webpage, how to decide what information to include on your webpage, and how to use templates and plug-ins. We will also be discussing how to meet the needs of your current members while creating a webpage that is a welcoming evangelism tool.
February 21st at 1pm - Using The Internet To Communicate With Your Congregation (Register)
Vertical Response, an industry leader in managing email communication and marketing, provides a free product for non-profit organizations. Join us to learn how to use this free software to communicate with your church members and friends of the congregation. This webinar will be for beginning users and will cover getting the free product, uploading and segmenting list and choosing the correct template to get you started.

Webinar - Keeping Our Church Children Safe Recording Is Still Available

Teacher Training Workshops - Online Course
Called To Teach - Online Training Course is a two hour self-directed workshop for new and experienced Sunday School teachers of children from preschool through 6th grade. Topics covered include: teaching as a scriptural calling, spiritual development, age level characteristics, multiple intelligence theory, the teaching environment, curriculum, spiritual practices, and discipline. Upon successful completion of the course a downloadable certificate will be issued to the participant.
